I'm not sold on this core ever becoming a serious contender and I think the next time we become a serious contender will be with a totally different group of guys.

Yes, this was the team's first year together and we had a lot of injury problems so hopefully next year the team will be healthier and gel better. But I don't think that will be enough to put us with the truly elite teams of the league like the Bucks or Warriors. We aren't a super young team so I don't think we can just count on the arrow to continue pointing up - for example Demar is getting up there in age and I'm not sure how many more years we can rely on him to play at an all-star level.

It's not just teams like the Bucks and Warriors we'd have to overcome either. If you're building a team for the next 4-5 years, would you guys honestly take our core over the Cavs? Raptors? Grizzlies? I think those teams have set themselves up for better futures than we have. People put so much hope into PWill developing into a star but those teams have players who are just as young as he is and they're already playing at a higher level.
