Daily Headphone Purchase Advice thread

Budget -- ~$300. I'd go higher if you talked me into it.

Source -- Galaxy S5 mostly. If amps are a thing I can have in my office (which shouldnt be a problem) and I could get a better set of headphones with an amp, I wouldnt be opposed.

Requirements for isolation -- This is a pair of headphones for the office. I don't need complete isolation from outside sounds, but I'd rather my coworkers not be able to hear the electronic I listen to.

Type -- Full sized. I kinda have a big head, and my ears arent small either. So smaller or tighter headphones might not work well. The Vmodas I tried at best buy seemed a little small for me.

Tonal balance -- I don't exactly know the answer to this question. I think I want less bass than a lot of other people, but I still do enjoy bass. I have a pair of Rokit 8 studio monitors that have great highs and mids, but kind of lack in the lows without me adding a sub. I never put my subwoofer more than halfway though. So I guess I'd like very crisp highs and mids but still with good bass.

Past headphones -- Beats IEMs. Don't judge, I was younger and I had a best buy gift card. I liked the pair of Blues Micro Mofi Premium Overs that I tried at best buy, but they were too tight on my head to be very comfortable.

Also, comfort is a large factor for me. I know I can't wear closed headphones for as long as open, but I'd like a pair I can comfortably wear for lengths of time. Preferred music -- Lots of different varieties of EDM. I hear you like links. Above and beyondAbove and beyond, Zeds Dead, Eco, Bassnectar, M-Machine, Joker, Porter Robinson, etc.
