Dangerous as an eritrean traveling to Ethiopia?

Well i went there(mekelle) in september to visit my old friends after a very long time and i am an eritrean. The problem started at the airport when they saw my nationality. They immediately called at the hotel i reserved and they checked. I reserved for 3 days n they were very furious why i had a visa for a month and i politely told them i had plenty of friends in the city n that i will be staying with them. They did not believe and asked me for their number . They immediately called and were still unsatisified. They followed me in a separate car to my hotel. After a couple of hours i left n were immediately called by the hotel clerk telling me there were problems n they were there. Just because the clerk has missed to fill a blank. The "security" guys asked for my original passport for a check. Mind you i had my whole documents and luggage thoroughly checked already. I refused and they tried to threaten me. Then continued following me every where until i just gave up n returned to addis. All just because i am an eritrean. I know there is bad blood between us but when someone gives u names of his friends living there ; you should not give him hard time in his city of birth.
