Death of a Dynasty: What Made Fire Emblem is now Lost

Karma doesn't matter, but silencing discussion does. By downvoting the original post, people are decreasing its visibility.

"THEY DO AND DON'T MATTER!"

I personally haven't downvoted this post. They are peoples opinions. I don't see you complain when people upvote you. Why? Because it's arbitrary. If more people don't see, oh well. I don't agree with it and I don't participate in the downvoting of opinions. However, I do upvote opinions. That gives more visibility to the opinions expressed. Thereby reducing the visibility of other opinions. The point I am making is by telling people to not upvote or downvote something because it silences their opinions is still, wait for it,... silencing their opinions. All right! That's one bit of flawed logic down. Let's continue!

That quoted text is unbelievably pretentious- disliking a game constitutes a "flawed ideology"? defining what an "actual fan" is?- and hostile- disliking a game qualifies as "moronic"? critics are "blind" and need to "calm down"?- but the worst part about it is that it's wrong.

I believe you have the interpretations of Fox News if you don't understand the first point. The second point is pure common sense. The third explains why I have the point I do. As does the fourth. If you have the reading comprehension of a fourth grader, you can understand what I am saying. I am so tired of having jerks like you call me 'embarrassing', 'juvenile', and claim some sort of superiority. I will reiterate at the bottom of this post so please try to keep up. You really are the Fox News of this sub. You joined in this thread because you agreed with and attack the big people who prove their ideology wrong and ignore EVERYTHING THEY HAVE PUT DOWN. Like, you haven't even discussed my points of the previous games still existing and how everything afterwards is an improvement. You really are a disappointment to arguments and discussions.

Disliking the game isn't moronic, I didn't say it was. I said judging a game you haven't played is. It's a sentence without a trial. A crime scene with no forensics. Please read.

Flawed ideology is the belief you can judge a new game without experiencing it firsthand. It is also believing the that FE is defined by it's mean quality of the games. No. It's defined by the individual games. Nothing FE14 produces will reduce the quality of FE1,FE2, FE3, FE4, FE5, FE6, FE7, FE8, FE9, FE10, FE11, FE12, or FE13. That is flawed ideology.

Let me explain this discrepancy. You're calling me elitist when the very foundation you opinion rests on is elitism yourself.

We don't have one data point. We have two. And these two data points comprise the series at its commercial peak. We've seen game series transform in precisely this fashion before. The developers themselves have said mass appeal is the focus of contemporary Fire Emblem.

This is actually implying that FE13 is bad and we somehow know the quality of FE14 without playing the game. There is too much assuming going on right now from your part. You haven't even played the game. It has yet to come out. There is more for us to see. Wait till then to appreciate the game. As for your last point, no shit, Sherlock. It has always been about releasing FE to the masses ever since Roy was in Smash.

If you want to cover your eyes to people's arguments, oppositions, viewpoints, and logical reasoning, that's your prerogative. But don't come reply to another person's comment with a well-thought-out viewpoint and give visceral hate for everything they say and pretend you doing something by being a mean, offensive person and chastise people who don't agree with people and try to silence people's feelings by calling them embarrassing.

It's sad that I have to correct you. It's sad that I have to put up with you.

Oh, and one last thing: Even if I was elitist, I'd rather be that than wrong, misguided, and mean.
