The deer was raised by a veterinarian. He had injured limbs and the mother rejected the fawn for his oddities

What’s pathetic about it? The deer was shot, in a forest located on property owned by the shooter’s father, at a 70 yard distance. The collar on it was dirty and faded and not visible until after it was shot and did not have tags or any kind of identification on it. It’s also illegal to own deer as pets in the state of West Virginia where this occurred. You can’t just slap a collar on a wild, free roaming animal and call it a pet.

What’s pathetic is that a 17 year old kid’s life is going to be ruined because a post became viral out of context. You can’t own deer in West Virginia and if you do, don’t let them roam around on other people’s property during the middle of hunting season FSS.

The owner has zero recourse here.

Edit: I’ll just keep deleting and reposting this every time it gets downvoted.
