Democrats will never get anywhere without a coherent platform for the working class. Instead of ignoring Bernie Sanders, the most popular politician in America, the party should fully embrace his platform.

The Democrats need to go through the same populist takeover that the Republicans did with their tea party movement back in 2009. This election entirely came down to anti-establishment, with Sanders leading the populist voice on the left and Trump leading it on the right.

There is no denying the spectacular victory scored by the tea party movement this round. Even if you have zero respect for someone like Trump, it's hard to ignore the fact that awarding Trump with the presidency, after all the things he's said about Obama, is the most poetic destruction of someone's legacy. It is a giant "fck you" to Obama signed and delivered by his arch nemesis.

If the Dems hope to gain revenge on Trump, there needs to be a similar tea-party like takeover of the Democratic party by the left. And they need to go just as low with Trump as he did with Obama. Even if this means inventing conspiracies, spreading lies, and obstructing until the fucking government shuts down. Going high doesn't work against people who have no shame staying low.
