Raising the minimum wage by $1 could’ve prevented thousands of suicides a year. We will end the 40-year assault on the working class and the suffering it has caused for our people. Every job in America must pay a living wage of at least $15 an hour.

Every time I post on this sub wanting to understand an aspect that I don't see as being possible I get down voted. I am super anti-trump. Yet every time someone post anything that isn't "following the beaten path" or even questions it then all they get is downvotes. Quite honestly expected better from a sub like this.

Quite honestly its quite discouraging to see people defending their view by just stating what they think companies should do... not taking into account the drawbacks. Would it be cool if everyone could make $15/hr today without 1. ending right back where we started in a handful of years or 2. being detrimental towards smaller businesses? Sure. But every time I inquire about doing such no one ever gives an answer with any information.

I am ALL about trying to understand both sides.... and will even change my entire viewpoint based on facts. But everything I have ever read, studied and learned suggest this doesn't work the way people think it will. No one considers the pros AND cons.... and no matter your viewpoint on this issue there ARE cons with making a decision like that.
