one of the things that people on both sides don't seem to realize is that trump won because all the young males who got fucked by the recession voted for him. those young males are not conservatives and they are not republicans. they are mostly liberals without a political home. they want single payer, they want equal rights, they want abortion, they want good things for everyone -- but they got driven off by the absolutely batshit-crazy SJWs and their church of original white male sin and guilt.

single payer is quite possibly the issue that will bring them back to the fold assuming completely garbage and corrupt politicians of last generation don't strangle the life out of the democratic party

if the democrats have an actually good healthcare proposal and candidates that aren't completely dispicable human beings, then the democrats win everything. it won't even be close. if the democrats double down and try to make being a white male a wedge issue, then the trump-republicans will stay on that side and the country will get worse.
