My old psn got hacked and banned, after that I decided to learn how support security works and after that choose which account I’d use out of my existing ones.

Since I have had more then 20 PlayStation console it’s using one I’d used before wasn’t the best option but at some time I wanted an old account I made before launch. So my choices if I wanted to know my serial number was to ether use my Spanish account that I never used on a console or my UK, so I test called Spanish support to make sure they could speak English well enough to help me and couldn’t get past the email part and when I did they failed it because they couldn’t even read it back correctly. So that left the UK account, so I had to recreate my email since I had not logged in since 2007 which is where I got lucky as that could have been taken easily, after which I reset my password and double checked to make sure I didn’t actually use it and it was blank other then username and sure pre signup details, so I used one of my old consoles that I have in my console collection and then called saying that I forgot my email to double check the serial number making out I didn’t know any of my info just to be sure that I could pass question (changed my name and email first then added 3 steps of verification to my original email and new email and added two step to the account) After passing security and confirming that console that I intended on using for serial worked I made some transactions with psn a card since I don’t live in UK then logged all the info in an encrypted format in a notebook and USB, I used a algorithm for my password that way I can make 30 - 32 character passwords that I never forgot yet are always unique to an account.

Biggest thing is not sharing info and trying to avoid using ratted computers and avoid sites with a lot of cookies that collect that kind of data. I get lazy sometimes so my info will probably get leaked sooner or later but the psn account it’s self is safe providing my info doesn’t get key logged or all my phones get and main emails get fucked up, but for someone that put that much effort into hacking my account it would actually have to be good or be someone that really hated me for some reason.
