Referring to World Breaker, I’m wondering if it may actually be more valuable in the coming months due to the possible rise of more counterspell decks

Bear in mind that World Breakers ability is a “When you cast….”

7 mana to blow up an enchantment/land/artifact is a lot however, we get value from it regardless of if WB gets countered, Path’d, or whatever else happens to it.

If my opponent counters my T3 Karn, I get nothing except 3 tapped lands.

I totally agree that Karn is going to be a stronger overall play if it sticks.

But I think World Breaker may still have a place because of its “when you cast” wording. Plus Reach is valuable in a meta where [[Sprite Dragon]] and [[Stormwing Entity]] and potentially [[Obsidian Charmaw]] are problems
