No one told this guy to publish his manga in JUMP. He is aiming for the top and putting all of his heart into it, and he knows what that means. I bet he doesn't think it's "bullshit", he knows exactly what he went into, and if he wanted a magazine with easier competition, he knew where to go.

I don't see the reason to see it as such a negative thing. It's like seeing someone get last place in the Olympics. Yeah, it's last place, but they worked all their lives to be able to get into the Olympics in the first place! There's no shame in it. If they wanted to be first place, they could've gone somewhere else.

Gen will get up and make another series. It's OK to fail, it's not bullshit, it's the industry that he chose for himself.
