[Discussion] Actually, Nomura doesn't create the story as it goes

This argument always annoys the hell out of me because it genuinely highlights how downright ignorant people are when it comes to storytelling and how stories are made

Heres a newsflash for everyone literally every book, film and game ever written was made up as it went along, but not in the way you all seem to think

People act like he sat there and without thinking completely made it up as he went scene by scene, this is the single stupidest thing ive ever heard because not only is it impossible to write a story without planning but the idea you could just make it up off the top of your head that well ? Nah lol

The retcons are not somehow proof he makes it up lol the retcons are him changing plot lines with new ideas that better fit, literally ever writer does this, every last one of them

As someone who knows a lot of comic creators and writers, these people have huge arcs and plots in thirr head but a lot of the smaller thing are changed and retconned as time goes, they evolve they change thats just how things work it doesnt mean "oh you must have never even thought about any of this sincs ou changed x detail"

When you create a story you do not simply just start at the beginning and make each scene by scene then just stop lol any writer in nomuras position would have absoloutely had tons of the ideas and story he brought forth already part of the plan, retcons dont disprove that its a story thats years in the making ur mind is gonna change your gonna want to make changes but it doesnt mean you dont know where the story is headed
