[Discussion] On content creators, and support from either side

Alright, we need to talk. There's a lot we can agree to disagree about, but when a mod starts writing a freaking sales pitch for the product of a professional victim AGGro, that's a bit of a problem, don't you think?

The product of a person who, by your own account, has done nothing that would warrant any support, and spent their time spreading lies and spinning their own victimhood-narrative?

maybe GG will help fund the game of an anti-, making heads spin everywhere trying to wrap their minds around that concept.

And that's the reason why you're carbon-copying the sales pitch? Virtue signalling? I do seem to remember certain goals and purposes of Gamergate. Patting yourself on the shoulder for being such a good person wasn't among them. Or do you think the media will suddenly turn around and give us positive coverage for being so kind and compliant?

How is any of this going to further our cause? I'm sorry, but this again strikes me as one of the mods getting a bit detached from the base, the ideas behind GG. Just like the time you considered filtering non-tech links to breitbart, an idea which, in my estimation, was overtly opposed to the interests of the community. Most people weren't fond of that at all. Maybe because they like Milo, perhaps even agree with his policies. But probably because they had enough common sense to see that telling to fuck off was a bad idea. Considering that probably half of all journalists who were ever willing to give us a fair chance work there, and that Milo has contributed more than most of us by uncovering the gamejournopros.

And yes, I'm aware that filtering doesn't mean and outright ban or no-platforming. But it's hard to see it as anything other than a sign of disapproval, given that The Ralph Retort (deservedly) got the same treatment. Nodeworx even cited "people having a hate-boner for Milo" as a reason. Stuff like this seems divisive, for no good reason.

I understand that controversial stuff like breitbart may be a hassle, an inconvenience, from a mod's perspective. It's an ungrateful position, I know. And maybe you, personally, disapprove of Milo's antics, fair enough. But don't expect the community to dance to that tune.

And suggesting we appease the opposition by funding crap like this? That's the kind of action which just provides more ammunition to GGR-trolls. "Look at KiA shilling for shekels what does that have to do with muh ethics?"
