Of course there was a plan, our problem lied with replacing the greatest sporting manager of all time with David Moyes, and we replaced David Gil with an inexperienced Ed Woodward, that to me shows the people who are or were in charge to allow these appointments to happen have no clue about football and thought they could get away with these decisions down to blind faith. Our transfers have been really bad pre Jose, we would sign good but not great players, and the players who were great only came here for a pay day and it's had a long lasting effect on the club with the fees being insane for good but not great players. When Fergie was in charge players would go on strikes with their clubs to get the transfer done, whereas now they don't really care if it happens or not, even if they are half decent. Hopefully Jose restores that with results and trophies
