why does everyone hate that there are scenes protagonized by humans in the new movie Godzilla vs Kong?

I liked the plot with Kong’s cast of characters, although it was rather generic. But Millie Bobby Brown’s crew did nothing and while not entirely bad performances, they were really grating characters that should have either had more impact in the plot or just have been written out. Cause for the good amount of screen time they have, all of it amounts to really nothing and it feels like they wasted time even including their plots. All’s they were really there for was exposition.

That said the film is probably the best of the monster verse because it doesn't spend as much time on its human characters compared to the previous entries. The monster battles are its focal point, and for that it’s a lot of fun.
