HIV literally came from the Congo due to consumption of monkey meat. 32 million people have died because of it. It's interesting how willing and eager people are in being racist and prejudiced against Chinese people. The same people going on about "Chinese virus" are scared shitless over being called racist if they were to call HIV the "African virus", "Congolese virus" or "Black people virus".

It's not just over viruses: it seems people in general around the world feels little qualms about hatred of Chinese people, but anti-racist ideology developed in 1960s America influences people to be extra-cautious and sensitive about offending blacks.
