I've reached my breaking point with gore at Terrifier

I think something important you’re missing is context.

You’re watching snippets of violent scenes, but missing the rest of David Howard Thornton’s performance as Art the Clown. You’re also missing the rest of the victim characters performance and how their death impacts the story.

I’m not gonna pretend these movies are high art, but if you watch Art’s facial expressions and body language for the whole film, it adds something to the kills that makes them a lot more awkward and almost funny.

The performance is almost endearing in a twisted way.

Also, depending on the characters being killed, you’re either meant to be upset, or be happy about it.

Not saying these films are for you, but you’ve already gotten the worst parts out of the way. What harm could be done by being introduced to these characters and getting the context?
