Donald Trump reportedly set to name net neutrality foe Ajit Pai to lead the FCC

I'm on mobile but I'll try to answer this as best I can. LGBT people still face legal discrimination in employment and are barred from adopting in many states. 42% of homeless youth identify as LGBT which is primarily attributed to abuse and discrimination from families. There are also markedly higher rates of suicide, depression, and substance abuse amongst LGBT people compared to the general population. It's also been found that things like passing discriminatory laws against LGBT people is correlated with rises in rates of depression and suicide amongst the community(or, you know, maybe having a VP that is a supporter of conversion therapy). Obama did a lot of really amazing stuff to expand LGBT rights, but we still have a serious problem with prejudice against the LGBT community in this country that is not helped by an administration that turns a blind eye to our plight. I also doubt that Sessions, if confirmed, would ever seek to prosecute violence against LGBT people as a hate crime which would mean that some of the most vulnerable members of the LGBT community will find it even harder to get justice.
