The Driitari cultivate a unique society in the vast subterranean caverns that sprawl beneath the western continent of Seraith; these tunnels and the Driitari Queendom now share the same name, the Aromoi.

Driitari Biology:
Documents of the first Driitari on Seraith are sparse but the consensus among scholars is that they have been here for nearly as long as humans and were at first only consisting of the large spider-humanoid hybrids with 2-4 sets of humanoid arms and skin of any and all colours. While alpha driitari with 2-4 sets of arms exist and are at the highest ranks of Driitari society, the variant with one set of arms is far more prevalent today.(an all female group as no male is born with more than one set of humanoid arms) However, the latest mutation of driitari is by far the most shocking. They have developed the reproductive organs of a humanoid in addition to the ones that produce Driitari. This new mutation seems to have been brought about by the cohabitation of a species now known as the Driiling. The Driiling, formerly a subterranean species of venomous humanoid and living a truly primal lifestyle, have become part of the Driitari Society and seem to have developed a much more civil nature and their own unique language.
Furthermore, the ability of the Driitari to birth both their own species and the Driilings has caused traits of both species to be adopted. The Driitariis superior intellect, telepathic abilities, silk production, and Innate spells have been seen among the latest Driiling young. Likewise, though I shudder to think as to how the opposite has happened with such seamless splicing, Driitari of some of the latest broods seem to have the venomous tendrils of their Driiling parents and the incredibly short gestation period.
Driitari and Driilings are most often hairless with prehensile tendrils with six different venom variants. Driitari’s dual reproductive systems make family a different construct than most species. Both sets produce eggs but the humanoid set produces Driiling eggs and the spider set produces Driitari. Driiling and Driitari eggs can be birthed at a 12:60 ratio per female in a year. The driiling eggs are 4 inches in diameter and take six months to reach hatching size, expanding to 20 inches long and 10 inches wide. The Driitari eggs start out at around 10 inch in diameter and expand to be approx. 40 inches over the course of 16-20 months. A driitari couple usually produces one brood of each, Driitari and Driiling, every three years. However, in times of disease or rampant death, they will try to produce a brood every year. Likewise, in situations of famine or shortage, the couples will hold off on breeding until resources are more available. Driitari and Driiling reach physical maturity 12 years after hatching. However, they do not reach mental maturity till 16 years of age.
After a driitari or driiling reaches 16 they are considered viable partners and begin mating rituals. It is not uncommon for some driitari and driilings to produce their first broods during the ritual period. The ritual period can take anywhere between a few months up to five years. An uncommon occurrence is the hatching of alpha driitarii of alpha driilings. One in twenty eggs produces an alpha driitari, these are generally larger with 2-4 sets of humanoid arms. The driiling alpha is born with six arms. Alphas are almost always female. These are the most authoritative of the species and will likely rise into the government structure of their settlement or in the Driitari army.
