ELI5:What is 3 point perspective?

id suggest to look into some of M.C. Escher's art. He is considered the most well known artist to use lots of 3 point perspective in some of his drawings to achieve various illusions.

overall its a fairly complicated way to draw which includes 3 vanishing points instead of just 1 that we are used to seeing. I think of it as drawing from an "aerial perspective" in some ways, although this is misleading because it isnt always done this way. however the most common forms of 3 point perspective im familiar with always look sort of like they are from a slightly aerial POV.

Like a drawing of a group of really tall buildings in a big city where you can see the tops of the roofs and the buildings going out in all directions.
