Escaping Prison with Dungeons & Dragons - All across America hardened criminals are donning the cloaks of elves and slaying dragons all in orange jumpsuits, under blazing fluorescent lights and behind bars (2017)

county is hell compared to the laxness of prison...at least it is in PA

Can confirm.

I slipped under getting shipped up-state with a 6-23 bid in PA county jail on a plea deal. Did 4.75 mo.

Overcrowded, gross, shitty accommodations (yeah, I know, it's jail), and constantly locked-down.

75% of CO's were pricks for no reason, to boot (I don't mean they were dismissive/rude to hardened criminals, they enjoyed F'ing with/intimidating scared 19yo kids there on a misdemeanor weed charge/VERY minor PO violation - it was gross). These CO's were the 22yo "frat-boy" or "hall-monitor" types that seemed to get off on it - any one of us who didn't seem scared, they didn't fuck with at all - rules and regs had nothing to do with who they decided to mess with. To be fair, some were clearly there for a paycheck - and were super cool.

You either had regulars bitching about what's taking so long to get out of this shitty County jail to get placed to State - or newbs worrying about what's going to happen to them, who WOULD NOT STFU about getting bail and talking to their PD.

Guys who came coming back from long stays in Prison, that were stuck in transition to Half-way houses/Home-Plans, were PISSED on an hourly basis, with how things were.
