I 100% agree with you. This regime has proven they don’t care about war crimes. Nukes turn this war from thousands dead to millions and that is with a single nuke. There has never been a nuclear conflict so we don’t know how militaries will react. The only instance involving nuclear bombs (WW2) was guaranteed to have no retaliation since the US was the only country wielding nuclear weapons. And the warheads these days are 10x, 20x, 50x more powerful than the ones used, which by the way still was able to kill 250,000+ civilians. Imagine a nuke today dropped on a large city. 1,000,000+ gone in the blink of an eye.

It’s easy to say, Putin is t that stupid because if he did use nukes Russia would be destroyed. Yeah, well I got news for you, so would whoever else he chooses to bomb. That’s the entire conundrum and the conflict we are trying to avoid while still applying pressure to Russia and aid to Ukraine. It’s a fine line to skate, and the last thing we’re trying to do is to give Putin justification (in his mind) to actually start the nuclear conflict. Because once that ball has started rolling, no one knows where it’s going to land.
