Have you ever met a killer?

Yes. This was pretty recently, at the hotel where I work. He seemed like the average sketchy guest. Nothing too remarkable about him, but some people just smell like trouble. To my surprise, he didn't smoke in the room or get into a screaming argument at 2:00 in the morning. He just walked around in his leather jacket, acting like a typical tough guy type.
The next day, a plainclothes police officer with the word "surveillance" on his card appeared and started asking questions about him and the people who were with him. He said the guy was wanted for murder. They must have already been surveilling the guy, because the officer I spoke to knew exactly when the suspect was in my lobby, where he was standing, and how long he stood there before walking out the front door.
The next day, an FBI agent came in and asked some questions. This made me wonder how many murders he was wanted for, and in how many states, but apparently it was just the one. A few days after that, a pair of homicide detectives from a different police department came and started asking questions about the guy.
From the story the detectives told me [to Google], the suspect was in a car parked beside another car for around twenty minutes. Around the twenty-minute mark, the suspect shot and killed the guy in the other car and drove away. Then he and his associates came to my hotel.
