every year, the commonwealth taxes food for roughly 2 months, and I'm sick of it.

thats some straight BS. Good for you Op. Its nuts how the government just can decide when they want to gouge and act like its no big deal. As a person who makes a living selling food in PA this really gets me. My business gets taxed bc its "hot" food but it pisses me off to hear that theyre trying to squeeze money out of pumpkins. ITS NOT READY TO EAT and if it isnt taxed all the other 10 months then they are just tax gouging. It really boggles my mind how much taxes we get hit with. I pay a tax when i make a food sale. Then I pay the guy who made the food. Taxed on that. Then the guy i just paid goes to spend the money... hit it with some more tax. enough is enough
