EVGA Next-Gen Power Supply for SFX: Supernova 650 GM

Ok I’m not alone.. I mean it’s a great little psu, it’s quieter than the nf-a12x25s on my aio, I love the sfx form factor, and the only other option really was the obnoxiously loud silverstone models that need to have their fans replaced with a Noctua a9, but Corsair knew the cables are shit, and in a 450/600w psu that cost $100+ the “upgrade” cables should have been included as the stock cables imo. These cables, and the Dominator Platinum RAM version number bullshit has been enough for me to start avoiding Corsair products.

///Rant warning:

If you don’t know about the dominator platinum version number shenanigans they pulled, I bought the exact model listed on my mobo’s QBX list as well as multiple site’s list of confirmed Samsung b-die SKUs. Except I received version 5.xx, which was Hynix m-die (which they disguised in software with Corsair manufacturer codes) and the version number isn’t listed on any product page online at all, only the model number. 3.xx and 5.xx and even 4.xx except for 4.31 wasn’t b-die, literally only version 4.31 was b-die and they went back to hynix m-die (which is not even the top binned Hynix die). They switched to Hynix m-die immediately after they got manufacturers to put the Samsung b-die dominator platinum on qvl lists, right around the time Ryzen launched, and they changed the manufacturer codes to display Corsair instead of Hynix (except the v4.31 that reports Samsung) when inspecting the DIMMs with software, it was obvious they’re intentionally using cheap poorly binned Hynix DIMMs and trying to pass them off as top of the line Samsung b-die. They’re a greedy company and I just feel like they’re constantly trying to take advantage of their customers, and they’re not even good at being sneaky about it.

///End rant.
