Hmm I would not necesserely think that this would soon be a requirement. Only very few motherboards have this right now and even fewer in mini atx format (I think only one other I found had it which was a 300+ eur motherboard tho) so its not yet common at all to have PC's with a 10 gb/s usb port and will not be for quite some time imo. At least not as long as the Quest 2 is relevant I think. And if at that point you are ready for a new VR headset and used the link cable that much, you might be better off with a PC bound headset anyway? I exlusively play on the Index and dont mind the cable but would love to have a stand alone headset in the future. But who know what will be coming in the next years, maybe everything is going 100% wireless anyway and then you can stream your favourite VR games straight to your headset over 6G ;)
