F in the Chat Boys

I’m just gonna jump in here and say you seem really passionate about this story just from a quick glance at your profile how much you are talking about it. But you keep saying to people “well that’s your opinion” every time they counter you. But most of your arguments are opinion driven. “MCU made spider-man”. That is your opinion.

If you are looking at the numbers to back up your claim then alright. If the reason you are saying this is because the avengers films and far from home made a billion. Then yes they were successes. But I think it’s really unfair of you to generalize that the epic climax of the highest grossing film franchise of all time made so much money because spider man was in them. Considering he was barely in Endgame at all, and still had a very small part in Infinity War. (I think it was like 10 minutes of screentime he had). As for Far From Home, again I think it’s unfair to assume that people went to go see it purely because it was Spider-Man, and not because it was the follow up to maybe the biggest movie of all time? Can you at least agree with that? Because let’s look at Civil War and Homecoming. Spider-Man had the huge chance to piggy back off of the biggest event in the MCU at the time ‘Civil War’ where it was clear he was the standout. And immediately after that he gets his own film Homecoming, which grossed LESS than Spider-Man 3. So if your argument is purely based on numbers. People liked Spider-Man 3 more than Homecoming. So did Spider-Man 3 ‘make’ Spider-Man?

As for your other comments, the guy saying Spider-Man 2 is generally considered the best Spider-Man film and one of the best superhero films of all time, that IS his opinion, but it is by far the majority. You can look up any stats, any website top ten superhero movies list, any top 10 on youtube, and Spider-Man 2 is always near the top. That’s not just an “opinion” that’s a fact. Just because your opinion that you didn’t like them is in the minority doesn’t mean it’s wrong either. But it’s not an opinion to say a film is more praises generally than another. I think you can agree it’s not an opinion to say Jurassic Park is better than Transformers, purely from how audiences have remembered the two. As for who is right between Sony and Disney you seem very passionate about that as well but that’s a whole different discussion.
