Fear of driving after car accident?

It's been 6 months since my Mrs came off the road and was cut out of this...

She had a few weeks of hospital (Broken collar bone, all ribs on one side and an almost severed arm) and while she was in there I bought her a new car. As soon as she was fit she was back behind the wheel. It's important to get back in as soon as possible.

She has PTSD from this and the other night burst into tears as she had to drive past an accident with fire engines etc...

One of the things we learned later was one way to help a bit with flashbacks etc is to play tetris or some similar game that requires one to focus straight after the incident. No idea if that works but we would have tried it had we known.

She still has problems driving but I feel like she is coping better as each week passes. And I would say she is a more careful driver now too. So it does seem to be fading but I think it will be a very long time before she will be able to brush off seeing accidents etc but in general she is driving fine now.
