I agree, and I am not in complete disagreement with the post. Like I said I would never interrupt someone sharing something like this with me, but in some circumstances I would share my story at an appropriate time. I told my ex about what happened to me because they tried to wake me up with oral, which a lot of people would not complain about, but since this was similar to what happened to me, I told them my story and asked that it not happen again. They interrupted me several times telling me of their past and that what happened to me wasn’t even close to what happened to them. We are no longer together because they did not respect my boundaries.
