What did your ob say about your depression? Prenatal depression is a thing and puts you at risk for postpartum depression. Does your ob know you aren’t being compliant with your gestational diabetes treatment? Are you going to be induced early because of this? Baby is going to keep packing on the pounds and likely have very unstable blood sugars after delivery so they need to be aware. You’re almost term. They could induce you like next week.

This is not to make you feel guilty. I just think you really need to take care of the depression so you and baby can be ok. I get it. I had super bad depression with my first pregnancy. I was a mess. Crying every day. Felt suicidal. Couldn’t take care of myself and didn’t want to take my contraction medicine either because it made me feel worse. I kept it inside and I shouldn’t have. Depression is a medical condition and needs to be treated.
