Another mainlander here, it’s uplifting to see supporting voices. As someone that is currently in NA, I am very saddened to see most fellow mainlanders showing indifference or opposition against the protests in Hong Kong. Most of them continue to consume the same “news” sources and social media circles as they did back home, which are, as you all know, filled with propaganda and controlled nationalist voices. But I’ve also seen pockets of sympathy with my own eyes inside the GFW, it’s just unfortunate that these voices have to stay quiet.

To my brethren in Hong Kong, I have enormous respect for your bravery. I admit I’m somewhat pessimistic about the situation, but still wish for the best to all of you nonetheless.
