Finished my LSATs. Trying to gauge what to expect from schools

Howdy! From my research if you want big law. From my research Houston and SMU are similar just one gets you jobs in Dallas and one gets you jobs in Houston. SMU is your top option if in Dallas and want to stay there.

If you want to work in public interest or government type of work A&M is a great option as well for much cheaper, I’m also sure you’d get a pretty good scholarship there.

I’d be wary of Tech unless you’re ok with working in West Texas. I’d also choose a Texas school over OU unless you’re ok working in Oklahoma after school, in which case OU is a great option! The same goes for schools in Missouri, Arkansas, and Colorado. If you’re ok with uprooting you’re life to go there then they are great options but seeing you are 7+ years work experience, you may have roots in DFW/Texas. Which case I’d shoot your shot at SMU and A&M. SMU is doing socially distanced tours so it may be worth showing interest by doing that and attending any events they have going on.
