First gaming PC in years, Budget $600-$800

Hello,

That was a bit hard to keep that build under $800 so... It's a bit over, but, honestly, better pay a little bit more and stay safe with quality components, emphased for your needs, than doing bad choices and then regret it !

FAQ:

  • CPU: A very good CPU, with a high per-core (6 cores) frequency and an included fan.

  • MOBO: A solid choice, ready out of the box, no need to upgrade anything. AM4-based socket, so, it's also future proof for your incoming updates.

  • RAM: 2x8 Go sticks nicely timed, present on MOBO's QVL, dual channel like a boss. Remember to enable XMP 2.0 profiles on your BIOS.

  • Disks: A very good SSD with an excellent price-quality ratio.

  • GPU: Enough to handle a lot of games @ 60 Hz on a FHD monitor. I would have been happier with, 80 more $ to slap the excellent GTX 1660 Ti, but, it's your money, not mine !

  • Case: A nice case with two included RGB-fans, which is nice.

  • PSU: A bit over your needs, but better play safe.

  • Monitor: A quality monitor, nothing else to say !

  • Peripherals: Well... I spared a bit on those things, feel free to take a look /r/MechanicalKeyboards for more informations.
