The Ouija Board has been debunked in numerous blindfold tests that are lab controlled and out on the web for your enjoyment. In fact, the “mystery” behind the board is why so many people buy it, though I’m sure it has to do with Parker Bros and capitalism. It would make sense to me that they would want to stir up a “taboo” to the board - what better way to sell it? They know people will have a super strong desire to do something taboo and give in to peer pressure. It used to be used as a hoax to take people’s money in a “seance” setting - hoaxers using it to convince people they were communicating with “the other side” In the modern day, it’s used to take money from people who buy it because of its Taboo.
