even the ones who have very obviously taken it to a metaphysical level are usually fine with me. I mean I'm an atheist but I'm not a troll, I can respect peoples' religions and if I'm among religious people I will adjust my behavior to be polite. but I won't be coerced into it or flat out lie when asked my own beliefs, even if the other person finds it extremely hurtful. If someone is mad that I don't believe in gender woowoo, it has the same affect on me as if they're mad I said I don't believe in god. and if someone is obviously behaving contrary to their own stated beliefs, then I'm definitely not going to politely participate in those beliefs out of respect for them, because if THEY don't even do it, why should I?
