Yeah, I've noticed this. People like Cassandra Fairbanks come to mind. When I kinda sorta knew her, she was just your average quasi-shut-in nerd who shitposted a lot, used her tits to climb the ladder, and got into Internet drama before it was all the rage. She wasn't exactly Bertrand Russell in the intellectual sphere too, although like many women her age in Massachusetts, she had vaguely "socialist" (whatever that means these days) leanings. Fast forward to 2016, and for whatever reasons, she goes from being a hardcore Bernie supporter to a hardcore Trump supporter, freed by a supposed sugar daddy to shitpost while working on finding a right-wing rag that would pay her for her bullshit reporting.
