Frankie Boyle: All the average British punter wants is to be paid less than £10 an hour and be incinerated in a nuclear holocaust, and good luck to em

This sort of partisanship is ridiculous.

Nobody wants the countries of the earth to break out into nuclear war. Nobody wants to fire a nuclear bomb at anyone. The audience wanted to know if a nuclear attack took place on the UK, would Jeremy Corbyn fire back? If not, why his the renewal in the manifesto? What is the point in having it if we aren't going to use it. Sure, as a deterrent, but it's not a deterrent once one has been fired.

And the point about minimum wage - why stop there? I'm sure everyone wants to get paid £100/hour, why stop there? £1000/hour? Everybody wants a decent pay, but the point people are making is its effect on small business, of which there are 3 million in the UK. Many of these businesses struggle to break even and are the back bone of our country. Raising the minimum wage is one of those ideas that sounds great and will make everyone rich, but what ends up happening, and from an economic perspective, causes more unemployment.

So, yeah, mock the "average punter" Mr. Boyle. But ignoring the experiences of regular voters, especially small business owners, will backfire massively.
