Growing up all of my extended family would visit my grandfather every summer. One year my cousin brings a new cat her family adopted. She was an orange tabby named Olivia. She was your normal run of the mill cat but for whatever reason I developed an aggressive behavior towards her. I thought it was fun to scare Olivia. I was only 12 at the time I met her but I found it amusing to terrorize her, and I didn’t feel bad doing it. I’ve researched since and other people also have a strange joy in doing so. I’ve stopped doing it but Olivia is older now and every summer the first time she sees me she knows who I am and runs for her life. It’s a “mystery” to my family why she’s so scared of me. I always just laugh it off and wonder the same thing. Please don’t report me to PETA.
