George Carlin - You Have No Rights

First off I don't have all the information about the cases you mentioned where mods have explicitly condoned the use of terms like ''dicks'' and ''assholes'' (which isn't really a gendered slur but I get your point anyway) against male referees neither about the times where perceived censorship has occured because I don't frequent that subreddit, but whatever for the sake of the argument we'll go with that. I think if a person truly believes what he is acting on to be the right thing to do, in this case removing comments that they believe to be sexist then calling it censorship wouldn't be right. In their mind they are eliminating the toxicity and making the sub a better place.

Secondly, I think slurs that target woman especially carry more weight because they usually devolve a person down to their female reproductive organ which in Western culture is the least empowering thing you can say to a man more so than ''dick'' because the female genitalia is seen as a point of weakness. It is because it's so specific in it's degradation that I think what makes it carry more weight and you could argue the same thing about men but since men aren't usually the ones being targeted for their gender the mods double down on the one side more. Which makes sense to me. Effeminacy is seen as a pejorative and weakness, while masculinity is seen as the opposite. When a friend does something brave you tell him he has ''balls''. When he backs out of a deal you call him a ''pussy''. Same thing. Whatever you might believe I think it's pretty clear that we might have a problem here.

Moving on.

I never said you were sexist, my initial point was that I found labeling a whole bunch of people under a brand to be an unpleasant thing to do. SJW in this case due to the whole gamergate thing it carries a heavy load and it's usually thrown around by people who are more opposed to feminists than they really are to feminism or gender equality or are vehement red pillers. I don't think anyone is inherently bad but it's hard to not get influenced.

I think there are different social or biological reasons as to why some women might think they are entitled to be held to higher standards and that they are not entirely to blame in that case.

I too am for gender equality and yes some people do let issues of gender equality define their personality to the extent that they lash out at every thing they feel is sexist. But the same goes for the opposide side where they have otherized the ideals of feminists and the feminists themselves to such a point where they will not hear a word that might even tangentially relate to social problems in our society lest they categorize you as 'SJW' in their head comfortably and move on.
