Please don't be a boring as fuck drama piece focused on people. It's a movie about the radiation vomiting gargantuan reptile, who awakens from his slumber to fuck up the thing fucking up it's chill.
Act 1: Hugh Jackman nude getting dressed as a submarine captain who is alerted that they are picking up gigantic levels of radiation from the waters off the South China Sea. So high they panic thinking that (insert current evil force) detonated an underwater atomic bomb. So in retaliation the US and Japanese plan conduct a joint fusion bomb test under water in two days, but the shifty eyed North Korean leaks this news to the Russians/china who scramble fleets to meet the American/Japanese fleet in a standoff at the detonation site. Yada yada yada, the big ass bomb blows up and is the Godzilla alarm clock. The forces begin fighting.
Act 2: Surpise this pissed the fuck out of Godzilla who has no fucking chill that us humans keep polluting his water and killing all his fish and this was the last straw being woken up for petty squabbling. He ascends in the mist of the battle fucking up both sides left and right. He's pissed and we show all of it, people being vaporized by atom breath and torn asunder. The plucky and sassy first mate has to make communication with some old bullshit technology with the sexy Asian interpreter so that all the superpowers can work together to stop their shit getting wrecked.
Act 3: The first mate sacrifices him self for nothing and the interpreter is only able to relay one word to both sides; "flee". This causes more confusion and chaos till a giant fucking evil deep spawn awakens. Godzilla is like motherfucker, see why I tried to fuck you humans up, there's worse fucking things than me down there. This villain creature is designed by Junto Ito, Guillermo Del Toro and the Silent Hill lead designer. It's a deep sea horror. Godzilla and him beat the fuck out of each other, Godzilla barely winning because he ends up ripping the monsters chest open and spews his atomic vomit onto the internal organs of this fucking nightmare thing. Godzilla roars a earth shattering roar of triumph and dives down to heal. The credits are just a montage of news reports and videos of mass feedings from cruise ships, fishing ships and New Zealand being sank. Then just after the final shot is godzillas blood and the evil creatures blood starting to pool and make a new creat- but fuck that it's vaporized by a roar from our big guy.
