This is Gracie, She's a feral cat that lives in the woods

For starters OP stole it:

Behind her neck between her shoulders is very dirty and almost the same color as her face. :(

The area she is located in has a lot of underbrush and pine straw and not a lot of mud even when it rains or a few days. The woods are located in the middle of a strip mall parking lot between two major highways. She is very skittish and I'm certain she doesn't belong to anyone. I worked in one of the stores in the strip mall at the time she and her litter mates were dumped there. She is the only one left. That was over a year ago.

I've tried getting her to trust me for about a year now with lots of patience and food but I haven't had any luck yet. I can look into a humane trap for sure, but she is one of about 8-10 cats out there on any given day.

As far as the shelter, we only have low kill shelters around and they aren't too keen on rehabilitating ferals as they are usually at full capacity with owner surrenders and random pickups. I've seen their freezer being emptied of the euthanized animals wrapped in blue plastic bags. It made me sick to my stomach.
