“From the social media page “Spicy Cats” (a feral cat rescue where Honeybun lives):
“Honeybun is back on babysitting duty! Just when she thought she was retired from raising kids, this special little lady showed up needing a mama. You may notice that the kitten is a lil weird looking… that’s because it’s a bobcat kitten!
Our new friends at Millstone Wildlife Center had taken in this orphaned 6 week old bobkitten to raise and ultimately release, but she had been crying from loneliness. She’s obviously a wild animal; human interaction/comfort can’t be given to her for her own success and safety as an adult. And so this feline experiment came to be ✨
Honey was an easy pick, being so maternal and having raised probably dozens of kittens in the past. She has been very patient and sweet so far. Little baby bobkitten has taken quite a liking to Honey and thinks her ears are VERY fun to chew on. This has been so cool to be a part of and I’m glad Honey is down for the job!!”
