Grenade Resupply, Ammo 2.0, and What's Next.

I would ask what the average lifetime of a player is, I think (without any real way to prove it) that most players who toss a grenade tend to die soon after anyway. I think this is especially true of CQB infantry maps and CQB modes. If someone is really just going to wait on a chokepoint for nearly 40 second to just toss a grenade everytime and never push, I don't see that as a real problem, slightly annoying maybe but that player was probably going to be useless anyway.

Most players would die and respawn soon after tossing a grenade unless they are one of the best players or someone gets an insanely lucky streak. The amount of time you have to wait for a grenade is an insanely long time in Battlefield and you're not going to survive that time in most cases. Grenades have always been consistent in this series and I think BF4 was the only game that I can recall just not bothering with them. The 25s per resupply of explosives in BF4 was insane and I do not want it to ever return to that, it was a horrible system for big maps.

While this system likely makes grenades more consistent it's not a feeling I'm interested in, the amount of grenades is what interests me and if DICE can drop that I'm all for it. It might have a bit of a run on effect on the importance of support but I think it'll be fine for the simple fact that regenerating health takes a long time, but medics are still important.

I think people, especially in FPS games just have a strong aversion to grenades that I don't understand. Unless someone gets really lucky you can avoid most grenades by just playing smart and using good positioning.

People seemingly however won't be happy unless grenades are next to useless
