There isn't 'easy, normal, hard' is what I've been trying to say.
The 'difficulty' is goverened by other things. Gear, stats, level, etc.
For example;
Player A has immense trouble, thinks game is too hard. Player A has a poor build and bad gear.
Player B has a trivial time, thinks game too easy. Player B has a rock solid build and incredible gear.
There isn't 'difficulty' like other games'. Higher difficulties are in reality just higher stats/damage/defense of creatures to scale to better gear, higher level skills etc.
The creatures generally don't get new AI etc. just the same creature scaled higher to make a higher level character.
Veteran is nothing more than the same creatures with more health/damage/defense.
In order to create 'challenge' in an arpg, they throw in new 'rules', aka hardcore more.
The point I'm trying to make is, it's not like say, a shooter, where selecting 'hard' makes enemies smarter, use cover, call for backup, etc. there's none of that in arpg's.
Difficulty is simply scaling stats higher/lower.
