How are you saying I'm being simplistic when your solution is that the "black community needs to take responsibility for runaway dads and high % of violent trash"? That's not at all how the world works. It's a culture. One doesn't choose the culture they are born into and develop from. The culture of dead beat dads is a systemic one--a culture that is a symptom and a result of hundreds of years of complex social dynamics that naturally saw black people as an inferior race. It is impossible to erase hundreds of years of suffering in just 50 years. This is literally the same comment as the one i replied to earlier. If you want the dead beat dad phenomenon to vanish then you must look at the root causes and attempt to fix the culture that has made this phenomenon into a systemic one. The solution starts with giving them the necessary tools to fix that problem.

If there's a problem that large populations of people partake in (i.e. systemic phenomena) then simply wishing and expecting that change to come from within is utterly futile. It works the same way with anything, for example racism. Do you get large swathes of rural white racists to stop being racist simply by wishing that they take responsibility for their actions and take it upon themselves to become more progressive people? It's obvious it doesn't work like that. What you need are the necessary and practical tools that will allow them to fix that problem. You're exactly right, this is not a simple issue at all. But the answer to these problems is not for people to take responsibility for a culture they had no part in creating in the first place.
