Grumping about Guild Grumps

I'm going to go on a bit of a tangent now, I could make this it's own thread but it's not really venting about the show per say so I hope you don't mind.

Out of the Grumps Ross is the only one to ever play World of Warcraft properly, and WoW, for me, was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had in gaming. In relation to what you said, they're starting at level 90, bought all the heirlooms and with that they're missing out on one of gaming's best adventures. A huge ass world to explore, people to see, monster's to fight, friends to make. I may be speaking from a very archaic point of view as I started playing as The Burning Crusade started when everything was still very "massively multiplayer online", meaning you had to meet people who you only knew as Lovestospooge in order to complete one quest mob that you kept dying and dying continuously to.

Also, because this is being recorded for a YouTube show, they're constantly going to be "on", meaning they won't be able to get truly immersed after their friend's gone to bed, just to look at the ingame clock and realising it's now 6am as they go to turn in that quest in Stranglethorn Vale, only to be stopped in their tracks like a sap as an Undead rogue decides to fight. They won't be able to explore cities like Stormwind or Thunder Bluff as they're constantly "on time". It honestly makes me upset that they're squandering such an opportunity.

To get back to what you were saying, yeah, I think they are going to shit on the game, because in my opinion they're playing it completely wrong. I know it's an option now and is probably used more often than I like to think, but I can't help but wonder if Dan would have found such joy in this massive world to explore rich with history and lore like he found with Morrowind (granted he was high). Instead, there'll be whining about how either things are too easy, or how the game overwhelms you quickly with spells and abilities you don't know how to use.

I suppose they can go back to the game after Guild Grumps is finished, but to me that first time is precious.
