At his current 45% WR, if he saves his star 20% of the time, he'll qualify for gold after an average of 600 games.

If his starsave strategy is more effective, that number drops dramatically - even getting to a 30% starsave rate means he'll rank out after an average of 93 games.

Personally, I'm surprised he got through silver at all, though he has the number of games - presumably, the 220 'last 7 days' games in silver were closer to 50%, meaning while only starsaving 10% of the time, he could power through the net +10 needed to get into qualifying in a meagre 200 games average - almost exactly what he has done.

If he is only able to maintain a 45% WR in gold quali and saves his star less than 20% of the time, it would require an incredible statistic aberration for him to qualify after any number of games.
