I think you're missing the point.

It's not about how much could be spent on something. I can find out somewhere how much it costs to get there within a day and insta-finish everything.

But you're also lamenting that someone asked for an account for free that isn't at the peak. Sure, you've had it for years; but that doesn't mean you put in anything but time equity that was probably worth 0 dollars - time that you would have been watching TV directly instead of playing a game at the same time.

Once again though, he's just a regular beggar asking to get something for free that you don't want to give away...same with if you saw someone on the interstate turn off. The fact that they ask for a dollar instead of "anything helps" doesn't mean they are suddenly a "choosing beggar"; they are just a regular panhandler.
