Do you guys support Long Island statehood?

This isn't just about pride. Why do you think our property taxes are some of the highest in the nation? We certainly do have a lot of people, with all of that money the government collects, shouldn't we be paying less than other states? We toss our money into a giant pit and get back a fraction of what we pay for.

After the Corona Virus hit, our state was too big to react. First we had to check with King Cuomo would let us close. Now we have to check with him to see if we can open. For our population, our rates are really good, we should be able to respond at our own pace and not be restricted by the monolithic bureaucracy of upstate.

Trust me, Albany DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT about Long Island. We should keep our money, invest in our community, lower our taxes.

This is more about self-respect and not being taken advantage of than it is about 'pride'
