What are you studying? I think that matters.

Long Island college students often have an entitlement problem. No matter where you go, there is often a lack of discipline and a genuine work ethic is rare. Many of the students are at these colleges because they didn't/couldn't cut it at their first choice, so their parents gave them another chance - where they can stay close to home.

Depending on what you study, you may also find the college professors real-world experience sometimes antiquated, especially the full timers that haven't held a real job in over a decade. Evening/adjunct faculty members usually are currently working in their field, are younger and the students that attend night school have more at stake.
